Panthers fall on road

Former Troup Tiger Jim Reed had a pair of hits for the LaGrange College Panthers on Wednesday, but it was the homestanding Emory Eagles claiming a 10-4 victory.


Reed had a double and a run scored, and Casey Bell also had a pair of hits for the Panthers (0-4), who finished with seven hits.


Adam Terrinoni contributed an RBI double for the Panthers.


Cole Anderson got the start for the Panthers, and he went 2 1/3 innings and allowed two earned runs.


Taylor Brooks, who took the loss, gave up four runs in 1 2/3 innings, and Patrick Riley gave up one earned run in two innings.


Josh Bricker tossed two scoreless innings to finish the game.


LaGrange College hosts Bates (Maine) today at 6 p.m., and those same two teams will play a doubleheader starting on Saturday at 2 p.m.
