While the Troup Tigers were able to play their game on Tuesday, the day was a washout for the Callaway Cavaliers and LaGrange Grangers.

Callaway was scheduled to host Rockmart on Tuesday, while LaGrange was set to visit Fayette County.

Callaway’s game against Rockmart will be made up on Friday at 5:30 p.m., while LaGrange and Fayette County will play today.

Callaway has already lost two games this week because of rain.

The Cavaliers were supposed to play at Sandy Creek on Monday, but that game was rained out.

Callaway was then set to host Rockmart in a Region 4-AAA showdown, and that game also wasn’t played.

Callaway will be on the road today in Atlanta to take on B.E.S.T. Academy in a region game.

On Thursday, Callaway will be back on the road, this time to face Haralson County in another region game.

Callaway ends the week with the Rockmart game on Friday.

The Cavaliers are leading the pack in Region 4-AAA, and they’ll carry a 7-1 record into today’s game against B.E.S.T.

Callaway has four region games remaining, including Monday’s home showdown against Central-Carroll.

Central-Carroll is the only region team to beat Callaway this season.

LaGrange, meanwhile, is fighting for its playoff life this week.

The Grangers are 5-5 in Region 5-AAAA, and they’re in a tie with Shaw for fifth place.

Troup, after Tuesday’s big win over Columbus, is at 6-5 in the region, Alexander is 6-4, Carrollton is 8-2, and Columbus is 9-2.

If LaGrange beats Fayette County today, it would move into a tie with Troup for fourth place.

LaGrange then hosts Sandy Creek on Thursday before visiting Troup on Friday.

The region’s top four teams will advance to the state playoffs.

Baseball wasn’t the only sport impacted by the rain on Tuesday.

The Callaway High soccer teams had their games rained out, and they’ll be made up today.

Callaway’s boys’ and girls’ teams will be on the road against Rockmart in their Region 4-AAA finales.

The girls’ game is set to begin at 5 p.m., with the boys’ game to follow.

The Callaway boys’ team was supposed to host Forest Park today, but that game has been canceled.
