Burton Gamble, 49, of LaGrange died Monday, November 19, 2012 at his home.

Burton was born April 5, 1963 in LaGrange, son of John A. Gamble and the late Emily Holmes Gamble. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of LaGrange and was employed with Danny Sims Landscaping. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, John A. Gamble, Jr.

Survivors in addition to his father, John A. Gamble, include two sisters, Lynn Gamble McDonald (Sonny Cooper) and Gay Gamble McElroy; 4 nieces, Kimberly McDonald Deen (Brent) and their son, Eli Deen; Erin McDonald Hodge (Chap) and their son, Cash Hodge; Marti Allison McElroy; and Elizabeth “Bizzy” Ann McElroy.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, November 23, 2012 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Mike Reeves officiating. The gathering of family and friends will be on Friday from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Burton Gamble.
