A man was flown to Atlanta Medical Center after a wreck involving a Toyota and a log truck about 8 a.m. today.

Troup County emergency personnel said Amanda Mallory, 19, of LaGrange was driving a green Toyota Camry through the intersection of West Point Road and Lukken Industrial Drive. Daniel Lumber Co. driver Danny Johnson, 43, of Bartley Road tried to make a left turn onto Lukken Industrial in his Freightliner log truck, and the two vehicles collided.

An unidentified 18-year-old male in the back seat of Mallory’s car was flown by Rescue Air to Atlanta, while Mallory and her sister, Ashley Mallory, 13, were taken to West Georgia Medical Center. Johnson was unharmed.

Oil spilled onto the intersection as the Camry went under the front bumper and tires of the Freightliner.

Georgia State Patrol was in charge of the investigation.
