Family: Wife of 55 years, Wylene Herndon. Sons: Cornelius, Tim and Chad. Daughter: Cindy Bailey.
Relevant experience: Served in several governing boards in church and the Mason’s order. At the present time I serve as secretary of the deacon board and also as a deacon at Grace Baptist Church.
Why are you running?
I decided the commissioner needed some opposition. So I planned to run. The people of District 2 will have a choice.
What are the biggest issues in the county right now?
People in the county are upset about the raise in taxes.
What can you do to address the issues?
No experience being a commissioner, but I pledge to do the best for the people of all of Troup County.
Additional comments: I was born in Hogansville and lived in the all my life. I worked at the mills, Visqueen, city of LaGrange police and fire departments – EMT, hospital dialysis and maintenance department for a total of 24 years. Vast amount of experience in a lot of different types of jobs. I’ve met a lot of people.
