Mr. Dave Kodl, age 57, of LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2012 at his residence.

Mr. Kodl was born January 15, 1955 in Platts Burgh, New York, son of Margaret Sabe Kodl of Opelika, Al., and the late William Kodl. He was a mechanical engineer at Duracell and a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church in Columbus. He was an avid fan of the Columbus Cottonmouths, a member of MENSA, and a graduate of Union College at Schenectady, N.Y. He loved the outdoors, target shooting and sailing.

Survivors in addition to his mother include his son, Ian Kodl of Hamilton, and Ian’s girlfriend , Chloe Lapp of Columbus; fiancé, Angie Ware of LaGrange; two brothers, William Kodl of New Windsor, NY and Edward Kodl of Roseville, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 2:00 Thursday at the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with Brother Ray Thomas and Rev. Mitch McGinnis officiating. The family will be at his home at 101 Cedar Creek Court, and receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 before the service.
