For the past 20 years, radio and television personality Jake Sessions has been the driving force behind the “Up All Night” Christmas dinner program. Last year the program fed over 1,000 individuals but this year, Sessions is worried that without the generosity of area residents, many will not have dinner this Christmas.
“There is a real need now, this is the first time that we ever got in this type of trouble with the dinner,” Sessions said. “Palmer Brothers has been our biggest supporter down through the years and they are gone now.”
“We really need the public to step forward to help the people who are counting on us for their Christmas dinner. If we have 50 turkeys, 25 hams, 25 cases of assorted vegetables and 40 pounds of dressing, we will have a meal,” Sessions said.
Sessions, along with volunteers, will be preparing Christmas dinners at the Cannon Street Elementary School from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at the school for those who are able to get there while dinners will be delivered to home bound individuals.
“We try to feed everybody. We feed the veterans, disabled people, the elderly and people who are just down on their luck. Some folks have been out of work for over two years now,” Sessions said.
Sessions is asking for donations on both his radio and television shows and other local media.
“We are also in need of volunteers to work preparing the dinners on Christmas Day,” Sessions said. “Please, don’t fail me now, help us to make Christmas dinner for those who really need it.”

Checks should be made payable to: “Up All Night Charities.”
If possible, volunteers are asked to please bring a dessert item with them when they report to the school on Christmas.
