FedEx turned a package containing more than $5,000 in marijuana over to police Friday.

Officer Daniel Clark said in a report that FedEx contacted him about the package, which contained about 268 grams – a little more than half of a pound – of marijuana. Clark estimated the “street value” of the drug at $5,360.

The package also contained a phone number with an Alabama area code. Clark notified the Auburn, Ala., police narcotics unit and turned the information over to it.
