Tuesday is the day to enter a contest to determine the best-tasting homemade ice cream in Troup County.

The event is sponsored by LaGrange Daily News and LaGrange Memorial Library. Ice cream should be delivered to the library between 4:30 and 5 p.m. Judging will begin promptly at 5 p.m.

Each entry should include a gallon of ice cream in a disposable container, packed in ice. Entries may be submitted in the churn, but retrieval of the churn is the responsibility of its owner. Judges will be finished with the churns by 6 p.m.

The recipe should be attached to the container, and must include the name and contact information of the entrant, although the judges will not see that information.

Winners and their recipes will be featured in the weekend edition of the Daily News. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and teens’ choice winners.

For more information, call Debby Durrence at (706) 884-7311, Ext. 229.
