A LaGrange man died after his car left Greenville Road and overturned.

George Frank Rice, 66, of Oak Drive had delivered a junk car to Bare Metals between Greenville and Luthersville, and was returning to LaGrange when the accident occurred about 1 p.m. Wednesday on Greenville Road at Keith Road just inside the Meriwether County Line.

Meriwether Coroner Johnny Worley said the Dodge pickup and empty flatbed car trailer ran off the road and struck a culvert pipe, then overturned. Rice was not wearing a seat belt.
