Mrs. Leavera Helen Clay, age 68, of LaGrange, died on January 27, 2013, at the Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Clay was born on March 23, 1944, in Newnan to the late Daniel Wade Tollerson and Leavera Mozell Gamble Tollerson. She worked in the textile industry as a machine operator for Kleen-Tex, and was a member of the Davidson Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Richard Clay and her step-father Ellis Massey.

Mrs. Clay is survived by her son, Phillip Mazzola, Jr. and his wife Tammy; daughters, Charlotte Jones and her husband David, Dallas Ornelas and her husband Rodolfo, Cathy Milner and husband Michael, Lisa Shelnutt and her husband Jim and Leavera Helen Pursley and her husband John; 22 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at 1:00 pm at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel Funeral Home with Ministers Howard Longshore and Kenneth Cole officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Restlawn Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
