Leroy Johnson passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at West Georgia Health.
Mr. Johnson was born March 5, 1930, to the late Mr. Addis Johnson and Ms. Maggie Ross in LaGrange, Georgia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Laura Johnson; son, Mr. Addis Johnson; and brother, Mr. Rufus Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a faithful member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, West Point, Georgia.
He retired from the Valway/Hillside Plants after 25 years of service. He was a faithful and dedicated staff member of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home for over 50 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Willie Lee Johnson; six children, Shirley Johnson (Pete) Irvin; Judy Johnson Todd; Melvin (Lera) Johnson; Kollis Johnson Dixon; Charlene Johnson (Ronnie) Harrell; Jacqueline Johnson (John) Boyd; two brothers, Michael (Charlene) Johnson, Charles Johnson, both of Gary, IN; two sisters, Shirley Johnson (Michael) Washington, Gary IN; Mary (Alan) Shropshire, Rome, GA; his love continues on with 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 3 great, great grandchildren; special nephews, Gary, Rufus, and Frank; and extended family, Mr. Tommie Grier and the Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home Staff; he leaves 3 sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
The Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, West Point, with Dr. W. T. Edmondson officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
