Loy Hatfield Morris, 82, of LaGrange, died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at her home.
Loy was born April 14, 1930 in Wadley, AL, daughter of the late Tom and Annie Lizzie Roberts Hatfield. She had lived in LaGrange most of her life and was retired from Duracell and Publix. Loy was preceded in death by her husband, Derald Lloyd Morris; and by two sons, James and Donald Franklin.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy and Pamela Davis of LaGrange; a grandson, Jimmy and Jacqueline Davis, II of West Point; grandchildren, Alexis Davis and Vincent Davis; a half-sister, Billie Middleton; step-sisters, Pearl Apison and Johnnie Pittman; 17 step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will gather at the funeral home to receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. A private burial will be in Main Post Cemetery, Ft. Benning, GA.
