Mr. Lucas Alan Waldroup, age 20,of LaGrange, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Columbus Regional Medical Center.
Lucas was born November 20, 1991 in LaGrange, Georgia, son of Alan and Jennifer Latulippe Waldroup of LaGrange. He was employed at Smiths Dairy Farm as the Parlor Manager, a member of Rosemont Baptist Church. a Volunteer Firemen at Station 7, Gray Hill Fire Department for Troup County. He graduated from Troup High School in 2010, where he was a member of the FFA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all, he loved farming.
Survivors in addition to his parents are his brothers, Alex Waldroup and Austin Waldroup, his girlfriend; Emily Butts, paternal grandmother; Wandress Waldroup, maternal grandparents; Ray and Kaye Latulippe, all of LaGrange, aunt; Carmen (Chad) Dallas of West Point, uncle; Joey (Anna) Latulippe of LaGrange, and several great aunts, great uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John T. Waldroup, an aunt, Lynn Waldroup, great grandparents, Luther and Sara Waldroup, Clifford and Dorothy Maze, Gaynell Martinie, Thomas Smith and Alex and Lorretta Latulippe.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 Tuesday at Rosemont Baptist Church with Rev. Max McCord, Rev. Jimmy Pruitt and Rev. Lamar Womack officiating. Interment will follow at Gray Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 until 9:00.
