Mrs. Mary S. Norris, 101, of Hogansville, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Warm Springs Medical Center Nursing Home.

Mrs. Norris was born Oct. 23, 1911, in Heard County, daughter of the late Thomas Daniel Spradlin and Scott Stevens Spradlin. She had lived in Hogansville since 1938 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Hogansville. For many years, she assisted her late husband, Lee G. Norris, in the operation of several area businesses.

Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Mary Ann and Eddie Calhoun of Woodbury; son and daughter in-law, Steve and Gwen Norris of Tallahassee, FL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Clinton Hughes and Rev. John Mark Carpenter will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., Sunday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a church or charity of the donor’s choice.
