Rev. P.M. “Bob” Comerford, 86, of LaGrange passed away Monday, December 24, 2012, at Hospice LaGrange.

Rev. Comerford was born March 4, 1926, in Youngstown, FL, son of the late Joe Robert Comerford and Clara Evella Davis Comerford. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a part of the Normandy Invasion. Rev. Comerford was a retired Baptist Minister and served at numerous churches in Georgia, Florida, and North Carolina. He had lived in LaGrange for the past 10 years after retiring and was a member of Callaway Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all of his siblings.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Betty White Comerford of LaGrange; sons, Randy (Debbie) Comerford of LaGrange, Gainer (LeAnn) Comerford of Cottondale, FL, and Greg (Kelly) Comerford of Daphne, AL; grandchildren, Ben (Nicole) Comerford, Matt (Brittany) Comerford, Priscilla Comerford, Adriana Comerford, Justin Comerford, Harrison Comerford, James Comerford, and Chandler Comerford; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, December 28, 2012, at Callaway Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Ring and Reverend Bobby Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at Callaway Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice LaGrange in memory of Reverend P.M. “Bob” Comerford.
