Police are investigating a kidnapping in which two men were robbed at gunpoint and then shot at an abandoned mill Sunday.

One of the victims told police two men broke into his house in the 100 block of Emily Place at around 1 a.m. and held him and a friend at gunpoint while they took $200 in cash and a laptop. The suspects then took them to his vehicle and forced him to drive to an abandoned mill in the 700 block of Greenville Street, according to a police report.

The driver was made to pull to the back of the parking lot near the train tracks, where the suspects said they were going to shoot him and told him to get out and on the ground. As one of the suspects started to get out of the back seat, the victim slammed the car door on his arm to keep him from shooting his gun and started running. The gun discharged and he was shot in his bicep, the report said. The second victim said the suspects fled the scene after the shot fired and he was able to escape with the vehicle, the report said. Police are investigating the incident.
