Robert J. Condra, 81, of LaGrange, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at West Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Condra was born May 25, 1931 in Logans Ferry, PA, son of the late Robert J. Condra, Sr. and Helen Hillard Condra. He was a member of the 1949 Pennsylvania State Championship Baseball Team. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Robert graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and worked for many years with BlueCross BlueShield and retired from the United Mine Workers Health and Retirement Fund in Washington, DC.

Mr. Condra was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. He was also a member of Highland Country Club and for several years was a starter at the Callaway Gardens Golf Course. In his younger days, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed reading throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Condra of LaGrange; a sister, Lois McInich of Seattle, WA; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Columbarium of the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Douglas DeCelle officiating.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to either West Georgia Hospice, First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange, or a charity of choice in memory of Robert Condra.
