The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Reza Mahdavi Sabet of LaGrange and granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Roy Smith and the late Mr. and Mrs. N. Mahdavi Sabet.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Robert Slayton of Sycamore, Ill., and grandson of Ms. Harriett Slayton, the late Mr. Richard Slayton, Ms. Estelle Azario and the late Emilio Azario.

Groomsmen were Sean Gregory Curran III of Farfax, Va.; Timothy John Goodyear III of Chicago, Ill.; Jonathan Mark Charles Johnston of Atlanta; Daniel Mahdavi Sabet or Denver, Colo., brother of the bride; Darius Smith Sabet of Los Angeles, Calif., brother of the bride; Dillon James Sances of Robinson, Texas; and Daniel Joseph Siciliano of Westhampton Beach, N.Y.

The bride was given away by her father, Dr. Reza Mahdavi Sabet.

The bride’s bouquet was fashioned of patience ivory garden roses, snowy jewel garden roses, white ranunculus, white phalaenopsis orchid blooms, icy green succulents, white amaryllis and ivory mini-calla lillies all bound in an ivory, double-satin ribbon.

The bride wore a Monique Lhuillier gown from the platinum collection. The gown was in a silk white chantilly lace, strapless bodice with a modified trumpet skirt and embroidered tulle overlay. The sash was embellished with silk flowers and Austrian crystals from the Vera Wang accessory collection.

Mrs. Sherrie Latham, a close family friend, loaned the bride the cathedral-length Belgium lace veil that Latham wore in her 1966 wedding. The veil was purchased in Belgium and has been worn by many family brides.

Wedding music was presented by The Lullwater String Quartet, Dr. Dale Adelmann, canon for music at the Cathedral of Saint Philip, and Yvonne Toll, trumpter, all of Atlanta. Meredith Marie Ingram, a close friend of the bride, was a soloist.
