Dr. and Mrs. R.M. Sabet of LaGrange announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Mahdavi Sabet of Atlanta, to Andrew Jonathon Slayton of Chicago, Ill., son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Robert Slayton of Sycamore, Ill.
The wedding is set for 5:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Cathedral of Saint Philip in Atlanta.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack R. Smith, and the late Mr. and Mrs. N. Mahdavi Sabet. She is a 2001 graduate of LaGrange Academy and 2005 graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y. with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and minor in education. She earned a master’s degree in early childhood education from the University of Georgia in 2007 and is a first grade teacher in Chicago.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Estelle Azario of Jupiter, Fla., and the late Emilio Azario, and Harriett Slayton of Sycamore and the late Rick Slayton. He is a 2001 graduate of Saint John’s Northwestern High School in Delafield, Wisc., and 2005 graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla. He works as a senior analyst in revenue management for United Airlines in Chicago.
