Balloons, lunch and guided tours were all part of Wednesday’s grand opening for Toro Granite, Inc.
Representatives of the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce along with LaGrange City council warmly welcomed Toro owner Jim Park and his administrative team to LaGrange.
Sheila Rowe, LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce director of community relations and sales, ushered everyone over to the front of the company’s sign for the ceremonial ribbon cutting and photo to commemorate the company’s membership into the chamber.
Bill Stump, chamber council chairman, presented park with a business card portfolio containing cards from other members of the chamber.
“These business cards represent the new relationships that you will now forge as being a member of the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce,” Stump said. “You are now the 895th member of the chamber.”
LaGrange City Councilman Bobby Traylor also took the opportunity to welcome Toro Granite to LaGrange.
Toro Granite was established in 2000 and originally based in Atlanta. As the company grew and expanded their facility, product lines and services, they wanted to open a new facility. LaGrange turned out to be the perfect location for them.
“We are thankful for the community for accepting us here,” said Justin Griesemer, general manager of Toro Atlanta. “Everything we do is done in house, none of it it outsourced. Box stores have a lot of hidden charges, we are upfront with our prices and we offer only the highest quality material.”
David Yingling, general manager of LaGrange Toro, added that the company is “looking forward to working with private homeowners and contractors to fulfill their needs for both new construction and renovation projects.”
Toro Granite’s showroom is decorated with samples of natural stone, solid and quartz materials. The showroom also features samples of the wood cabinetry that they custom design, fabricate and install for their customers.
For the next two weeks, Toro Granite is offering customers a chance to win one of two 5-foot, pre-fabricated, 2-cm-thick granite bath vanity tops. The winners will also have their choice of a white or biscuit under mount sink. Entry forms are available at the Toro Granite LaGrange showroom at 105 Lukken Industrial Drive W. The business may be reached at 707-455-8810.
