Victim in ICU after alleged aggravated assault

LaGrange police are looking for more information after a man was brought to West Georgia Medical Center after an alleged assault Wednesday.

Police said Calvin Favors, 60, of Revis Street, was brought to the hospital unconscious after possibly being assaulted by an unknown person in the 600 block of Snelson Street Wednesday night. Favors is in the intensive care unit where a condition report was unavailable this morning.

Drug arrest

LaGrange police charged Tykelieus Daniel, 29, of Baugh Street, with felony marijuana possession and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute after finding him with the suspected drugs on Wednesday.

Daniel was stopped in the area o f Mitchell Avenue and Banks street after he ran from police and attempted to throw the drugs away as he ran. Police found a small bag with suspected marijuana and a pill bottle with 10 rocks of suspected crack cocaine.

Burglaries, thefts

• A black metal brush guard for a Honda pickup truck was taken from outside a house in the 100 block of North Page Street. The brush guard is valued at $300.

• A Gardner Newman Middle School student said his Under Armour book bag worth $30 was stolen from him while he was on the school bus.

• A woman in the 800 block of Forrest Avenue said someone took about $1,079 in items from her house between Sunday and Tuesday.

Damage

• Troup deputies said someone slashed all four tires of a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero that was parked in the first block of Beasley Road. Damage was $500.
