True colors are continuing to be shown.
Over the past several years I have grown accustomed to services provided by the Troup County Sheriff’s Office. At one time the notifications of items such as crimes, traffic accidents and inclement weather was done by TCSO via they’re Facebook page or Nixle.
Since the election in August the notices have all but stopped. It was a Nixle notification the night of the 2010 tornado around the Whitesville Road and Hamilton Road area that had me and my family in a closet during the middle of the night. We live about 1-2 miles from its path.
Over the past month we have been under two tornado watches and have not received a word of notification from TCSO. I know the outgoing Sheriff is upset at his defeat but why take it out on the citizens of Troup County by basically taking your ball and going home is beyond me.
The office of Sheriff and department is there to serve and protect the people of Troup County not to serve one man. I would love to see these notifications start back up for the protection and safety of Troup County citizens. Thank you,
