Willie Mae Wright Jackson passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012.

Mrs. was born September 30, 1924, in Anniston, Calhoun County, Alabama to the late Mr. James Wright, Sr. and Mrs. Georgia Anna Huguley Wright.

She was united in Holy Matrimony Rev. Elijah Jackson.

She was a member of Smith Metropolitan C. M. E. Church in Anniston, Alabama; while she married a Minister of the Baptist faith, she joined him and worked along his side as he pastured.

She was educated in the Anniston Public School. Upon graduating from High School, she matriculated at Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia earning a B. S. Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee , Alabama.

Mrs. Willie M. Jackson leaves to continue her legacy two children: Gloria Jean Bennett, LaGrange, GA; Daniel (Renea) Jackson, Meridian, MS; two grandchildren, Kamirah Jackson, Meridian, MS; and Andre’ R. Bennett, II, LaGrange, GA; great grandchild, Tamaria N. Bennett, Brandon, MS; two sisters-in-law, Vicky Jackson, Winston-Salem, SC; and Myrtle Wright, Morristown, NJ; nieces, LaDonna (Fredrick) Neal, Marcella (George) Nelson, Elaine (Benjamin) Artis; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Warren Temple U M Church with Dr. Sherry Austin officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens.
