Theta Xi Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. presented 12 young ladies as members of their 2012 Cotillion Club at Del’Avant Event Center on Dec. 9. The theme was “An Evening of Elegance.”
Under the leadership of April Murphy and June Nelson, the young ladies participated in several workshops, which included dressing for success, interview skills, self defense, college life skills and financial planning. They also attended a football game at Fort Valley State University.
Their community service project included providing snack boxes for children at the Boys and Girls Club of LaGrange. Benita Epps is president of Theta Xi Omega chapter.

•Tiara Curry, a senior at Troup High School and daughter of Carey and minister Tonya Bridges.
