Mrs. Barbara (Bobbie) Sexton, 83, of LaGrange, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013, at LaGrange Nursing and Rehab.

Mrs. Sexton was born February 16, 1930, in Mountville, daughter of the late Albert and Mary Estelle Slaughter Johnson. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church and was active in the W.M.U. Mrs. Sexton was a retired beautician and owned and operated Bobbie’s Beauty Shop, and served on the board of cosmetology at West Georgia Tech.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Terrell Sexton of LaGrange; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Timothy Terrell and Linda Sexton of Birmingham, AL, Richard Alan Sexton of LaGrange, and Randall Lee Sexton of Chattanooga, TN; granddaughter, Breana Sexton, and a grandson, Josh Sexton.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 Tuesday at Unity Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Bingham and Rev. Kenneth Cole officiating. Interment will be at Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 1:00 until 3:00 before the service. Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Sexton to the Unity Baptist Church, Bus Fund, and P.O. Box 1031, LaGrange, GA 30241.
