Mr. Dan Kelley, 65, of LaGrange, passed away Monday at Atlanta Medical Center.

Mr. Kelley was born January 6, 1947 in Atlanta, the son of the late Mr. Norman Kelley and Mavis Patterson Kelley. He had been a supervisor at Mountville Mills and Kleentex, he also enjoyed watching the Home Shopping Network, remodeling his home and various home improvements. He was also a Veteran of the Marine Corps having served in Vietnam, where he received a sharpshooter award and an expert badge for pistol, and Purple Heart with 2 stars.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Philip Brooks of Lagrange, a son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Wendy Kelley of Creedmoor, N.C., grandchildren, Hannah Brooks, Lauren Brooks, Katlyn Kelley and Kendra Williams, a sister, Marjorie (Billy) Pressley of LaGrange, a brother, Ray Hale of West Point, a fiancée, Priscilla Pike of LaGrange and her children, Marcus (Paige) Pike, Kenneth (Stephanie) Pike and Krystal (Dustin) Pike, and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dean Fowler and a brother, Richard Kelley.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with Rev. Jimmy McMillian officiating. The family will receive friends at his residence and also at his daughter’s home, and at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the American Heart Association.
