The construction of the new CVS on Morgan Street is almost complete after about six months of construction.

The new CVS is being build directly behind the the current CVS location, at the intersection of Greenville Street and Morgan Street.

“It is a successful location, so we wanted it to remain a convenient location.” said Mike DeAngelis, PR Director for CVS.

DeAngelis said he hopes that new and larger CVS will be able to better accommodate the busy area, located right near the center of town. The current location is about 8,000 square feet, and the new one is over 13,000 square feet and will offer a larger selection of merchandise. The exterior construction was completed last week, and now the finishing touches are being done to the interior.

The new location is expected to open Jan. 20, with the neighboring location closing the day before. Current employees will be transferred and additional hires will be made if needed, DeAngelis said.
