Dear Editor:
My class in Management in the Healthcare Sector was fortunate to have a tag team of two outstanding guest speakers yesterday to learn about the role of the community hospital in the industry.
Mr. Speer Burdette and Mr. Jerry Fulks provided rich insights into the roles of the Board and Management in a very complex, multi-million business under great stress and uncertainty in these times of change.
West Georgia Health System is clearly the best in class in our state. Hopefully, some of these bright students will end up in LaGrange to start their careers and establish their families, whether they are managers, engineers, or physicians.
The citizens of LaGrange and Troup County for indeed fortunate to have the services of West Georgia Health System.
