A 165-foot-long blimp colored to look like a ‘minion,’ one of the pill-shaped beings in Universal Pictures’ ‘Despicable Me’ franchise, was anchored at the LaGrange-Callaway Airport Monday night before continuing its tour to promote the upcoming sequel.

The blimp flies across the sky over LaGrange. Universal and Van Wagner Communications, the owner of the airship, are calling it the ‘Despicablimp.’ The 55-foot-tall dirigible is scheduled to tour the United States over the next six months to promote the upcoming release of ‘Despicable Me 2.’

The blimp flew across the sky over LaGrange Tuesday morning. Universal and Van Wagner Communications, the owner of the airship, are calling it the ‘Despicablimp.’ The 55-foot-tall dirigible is scheduled to tour the United States over the next six months to promote the upcoming release of ‘Despicable Me 2.’
