School system looks at adopting tentative budget
The Board of Education on Thursday is expected to vote on a balanced tentative budget for the 2013-14 school year of $95,929,746. The tentative budget overall projects 0.2 percent higher revenues than last year and a 1 percent overall decrease in expenses. DASH for LaGrange Inc. has received a total of $575,000 in Community Housing Improvement Program grants for renovation of houses in unincorporated Troup County, Hogansville and West Point. Two weeks before volunteers will hit the streets to paint houses of those in need, they were celebrated along with sponsors, donors and homeowners.
