Commission to consider deal for $9.5 million SPLOST bond
County Commissioners on Tuesday are expected to vote on authorizing a deal to use bonds issued by the Troup County Public Facilities Authority to pay for special-purpose, local-option sales tax projects. The commission in February approved bonding several projects to be funded by the current SPLOST to go ahead and pay for them. The couple, now both in declining health, are bedridden and could no longer live in their residence until much-needed renovations were completed in their home.
