The Grangers (15-8, 6-4 in Region 6-AAA) finished the half on an 11-2 run to go up by four, and they rolled it up in the second half to win going away. Rudra Kissun came off the bench to score a t...

Major test for Tigers
The Troup Tigers know what’s at stake. Today’s task is a tough one, though. The Raiders(16-4, 6-3 in Region 6-AAA) have won three straight games, including a big win over Carrollton last...

It’s Auburn for Parks
He never wavered. Callaway High’s Ricky Parks knew last summer that he wanted to sign with the Auburn Tigers, and he made a verbal commitment to the school in June. On Wednesday, Parks made it official when he signed his letter of intent to become an Auburn Tiger, and he’ll be a freshman tight end this fall. Parks said he never considered another school after making his commitment, and that he’s glad he made his announcement when he did....

Big day for Grangers
The Valdosta State Blazers throw the ball a lot, and that suits LaGrange High’s Javon Cameron just fine. Cameron is one of two LaGrange High players, along with defensive lineman Milton Lamar, who has signed a letter of intent to play football at Division II Valdosta State. Cameron is looking forward to playing in the Blazers’ pass-happy spread offense, which is similar to the attack the Grangers employed last season. “They throw the bal...

Cavaliers get back on track
It wasn’t the offensive execution Callaway coach Terry Hayes was looking for. The Cavaliers had the ball at the end of the third period with plenty of time to get a good shot off, but with the clock about to hit zero, point guard Tyrell Tigner ended up with the ball well beyond the 3-point line. All Tigner had time to do was let the ball go. While it wasn’t the way the play was scripted, it worked out just fine, with Tigner’s shot findin...
