Callaway’s Kevin Craft is feeling good at the plate. After a 4-for-4 performance on Wednesday against Rockmart, Craft duplicated that feat during Saturday’s game against Haralson County. LaGrange High’s soccer teams are playoff-bound. Needing to beat Sandy Creek Friday night to earn a playoff spot, LaGrange’s boys’ and girls’ teams both made it happen. Senior Demoton Boyd came through with a brilliant performance to lead the LaGrange High track team during the Region 5-AAAA meet on Thursday in Carrollton. Boyd won the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash, and he posted some of the best times in the state in the process. The Callaway Cavaliers knew they were in the state playoffs, but they wanted to be at home. To make that a reality, the Cavaliers had to beat the visiting Central-Carroll Lions on Thursday, and they made that happen in dramatic fashion.
