Boyd has big day for LHS track team Senior Demoton Boyd came through with a brilliant performance to lead the LaGrange High track team during the Region 5-AAAA meet on Thursday in Carrollton.
Boyd won the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash, and he posted some of the best times in the state in the process.
In the 100, Boyd blazed to the finish line with a time of 10.66 seconds to edge Trent Terrell (10.71 seconds).

Dramatic win for Callaway soccer team The Callaway Cavaliers knew they were in the state playoffs, but they wanted to be at home.
To make that a reality, the Cavaliers had to beat the visiting Central-Carroll Lions on Thursday, and they made that happen in dramatic fashion.
In a game that went to penalty kicks, the Cavaliers survived for a 3-2 victory, giving them a second-place finish in Region 4-AAA.
