Emmaus Women’s Shelter will host the third Miss Emma’s Ice Cream Crankin’ Social on Lafayette Square from 2 to 4 p.m on Sunday.“It’s a celebration of the community rallying behind a cause that’s continuing to grow, an issue that’s been a burden in LaGrange for so long,” said Jessica David, the shelter’s interim director and organizer of the event.All-you-can-sample ice cream will be available for $5 per individual and $20 per family. Harris County man arrested for local burglary

The Troup County Sheriffs Office announced Tuesday investigators made a key arrest in a burglary from a home in southern Troup County.Investigators arrested and charged 23-year-old Jeremy H. Koone of Harris County with one count of burglary in the first degree.
