UPDATE: Missing K9 found alive, healthy

Officers from the LaGrange Police Department and the Troup County Sheriff’s Office have located a missing K9 today alive and healthy in a wooded patch of land in northern Troup County.The LaGrange Police K9, named Chico, was found around 3:30 p.m. after a three-day search involving law enforcement agencies from around the region.Chico initially went missing on Monday afternoon when he was involved in a search for escaped convict Lester E. Sullens of Stephens County, Georgia.

County mulls Boyd Park liability following hand over

County Commissioners approved an agreement to give operations and maintenance of the Boyd Park amphitheater to the Downtown LaGrange Development Authority on Tuesday.The maintenance and operations will be funded mainly through hotel/motel taxes, said County Manager Tod Tentler.
