West Point police, GBI investigate sexual assault

West Point Police along with the Georgia Bureau of Investigations were investigating a sexual assault this morning.According to West Point police investigators, a woman reported she was assaulted in an open field near a cell tower off Kia Parkway. After the report, detectives and investigators from both agencies combed the area looking for clues.West Point police said this appears to be an isolated incident. There was no information available this morning on the woman’s injuries.Police are investigating.

I believe there are four main reasons why the world is rapidly becoming more dangerous. First and foremost is the rise of radical Muslims. Second are the failures of President Obama’s foreign policy. Third is how our military is being weakened. Investigators make an arrest in 2013 restaurant armed robbery

Helpful tips from the public led Troup County Sheriff’s investigators to the suspect seen on surveillance video robbing the Hog Heaven restaurant off West Point Road last year.According to the Troup County Sheriffs Office, with the assistance of the Auburn, Alabama, Police Department, 43-year-old James Christopher Jenkins was arrested and charged with armed robbery.
