I use to date mathew piper and he has always been a very good friend to me.. He was funny and outgoing and always could make me smile. He never let anyone get him down and was always there for me. I talked to him the day before this happened and it really hurts to know that one of my best friends was killed by someone for no reason at all and I think its crazy that we cant even walk down the street without something like this happening. I pray that He is in a better place now and I pray that God be with the friends and family while we all take this in. And with the investigators to help catch whoever did this. Matt Matt u will always be in my heart and I hope to see u one day in heaven.

This is an awful thing, no one should loose his or her life in this manner. This young man was supposedly walking to get a pizza for his family. Whether he is white or black he should not have been shot down in the street. This is inhuman, we must all stop this un-necessary killing. Our young people have gotten totally out of control. It is not just black young folk it is whites as well. So please don't consider burning down an enrire innocent community. Thomastown has always been a family oriented community. I used to come down from New York and really enjoyed the family atmosphere in this community. Most of the people committing these crimes are not from Thomastown. May God bless this young man's family. i will personally keep you all in my prayers.

Dear Reader, I on behalf of a community is one that is saying SORRY FOR YOUR LOSE,the community i stay in is Thomas Town or should i say the surrounding area. Everyone and any one who has ever driven through that area knows whats its like its layed back but on the other hand there are other individuals that comes from different areas of LaGrange and does God knows what but as of right now by the comments left it seems as if there is a couple of racial slurs meaning "they should be apprehended and hung and or the drug dealer approach. not everyone is a dealer or a murder but those that falls along the lines should be dealt with properly. Yes i agree the ones that are responsible for this horrible crime should be dealt with by law. I may never have met the young man but this is not the way he may have wanted to leave his family. i hope the ones responsible for this is brought to justice some way some how with that being said R.I.P MATT and once again Sorry for the loss of a loved one.

This story hurts me to my heart. It was just plain sinceless to me. But the word of God said that we are not to lean on our own understanding but in all thy ways we are to acknowledge him and he shall direct our paths. Everything happens for a reason and at his perfect time we will meet our heavenly father. So even though its bad news,count it all JOY! TRUST IN THE LORD AND BE STRONG!

Matt Matt was a really great guy and a close friend...everyone who knew him knows you always had a smile on your face with him around...he will be truly missed...I LOVE YOU MATT MATT

What is so terrible about this tragedy is, this was a young 20 year old white man, who was just walking thru Thomas Town, from Amberwood Apts on his way to get a pizza, for his family. He was just shot down in cold blood for no reason.

So horrible, you can't even walk anywhere in this town now safely.

Such a waste...
