Dear Editor:
Paul and I wish to express our heartfelt appreciation to all the people of Troup County and the surrounding area for your prayers and support for our newest little grandson, David Thomas Parker. David, son of Brock and Amy Parker of Opelika, Al., was born Dec. 1 with a blocked valve leading to the right ventricle of his heart.
After heart surgery to implant a shunt and some uneasy days and weeks in the CICI at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, our precious little five-week-old grandson is now home with a good prognosis of living a healthy and normal life.
Truly God is a gracious and merciful God who hears the prayers of His people (Proverbs 15:29). My prayer is that David will grow up to become a “man after God’s own heart.”
