Applications for all schools will be accepted at:
• The school system office of student assignment at 100 N. Davis Road, Building C, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 2, 4 and 6, and until 6:30 p.m. Feb. 3 and 5.
• Hogansville and West Point elementary schools from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 2-6; and
• Troup County Health Department at 900 Dallis St. from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 2, 4 and 6, and until 6 p.m. Feb. 3 and 5.
Children enrolled in pre-kindergarten must be 4 on or before Sept. 1. Documents needed are a certified birth certificate, a copy of the child’s Social Security car, proof of address and a photo ID of the parent or guardian.
Students now enrolled in Troup County public or private pre-K programs must register for kindergarten.
Children enrolled in kindergarten must be 5 on or before Sept. 1. Documents needed are a birth certificate, Social Security number, proof of address and photo ID of the parent or guardian. The school system also will accept immunization form 3231 and eye, ear, dental form 3300 during registration.
Students who register for pre-K after Feb. 8 will be placed on a waiting list.
Students who register for kindergarten after Feb. 8 will be assigned based on available seats in the zone in which they reside. The residence of the parent or legal guardian determines attendance zone.
Acceptable proofs of address are a lease agreement, recent rent receipt, recent utility or telephone bill, tax bill, mortgage deed or sales contract. Not acceptable are a driver’s license, Medicaid card, voter ID or TV cable bill.
