Theft suspect

held after chase

A theft suspect from Coweta County was apprehended Saturday night after a chase that ended on Interstate 85 in Troup County when state trooper Sgt. Mark Mitchell performed a “pit maneuver.”

The unidentified woman, who was not injured, was arrested and taken back to Coweta County to face charges. Stolen purses were found at the scene.

Wreck

n A vehicle ran off the road and hit three mailboxes at Flat Creek Ranch on Mountville-Hogansville Road. Damage was estimated at $200.

Thefts

n Several items were stolen from a rental home in the 200 block of Johnston Street.

n Carmike Cinemas at 201 Main St. reported the theft of $100 from a bag in the office.

Fake money

Employees at Circle K convenience store at 1503 Lafayette Parkway said a customer spent a $20 counterfeit bill at the store.
