Ongoing

LaGrange Art Museum hosts a Bruce Chesefsky photographs exhibit in the upstairs gallery of the museum, 112 Lafayette Square, until July 31. The museum is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The Cochran Gallery on the downtown square hosts the Serenbe Photography Show through July 15. The exhibit is a photography show juried by John Lawrence, Callaway professor of art and design at LaGrange College. Serenbe is a 1,000-acre community that was developed as a national model for balanced development located in Palmetto. The gallery is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays.

Legacy Museum on Main at 136 Main St. hosts the exhibit “Bubbling Up Business: Bottling Industry of Troup County and Area.” Bottles from area bottling plants loaned by local collectors comprise part of the exhibit. The museum is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. 706-884-1828.

Local vendors sell homegrown and homemade foods and products at Glass Bridge Road Farmer’s Market from 8 to 10 a.m. at the pavilion across from Loyd Presbyterian Church, 550 Upper Glass Bridge Road.

The LaGrange Warriors eighth grade boysl hold a car wash at Ashley’s Diner, 200 Union St., 8 a.m. to noon. All proceeds go the YBOA and AAU Basketball National Tournaments held in Orlando, Fla., July 1 to July 7, and July 20 to July 26.

Local growers sell produce, cheeses, baked goods, plants and other locally made items at Market on Main from 8 to 10 a.m. in the parking lot behind Carmike Theater. Troup County extension agents Celeste Garrett and Randy Drinkard will be at the market to answer questions about food preservation, canning, gardening and summer horticulture.

The City of Lagrange Animal Shelter and the LaGrange-Troup County Humane Society hosts a Summer Blast Adoption Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Brusters is selling food, drinks and ice cream. All cat adoption fees will be half price, ranging from $8 to $25. There also is a list of available dogs available for $18.50.

West Point Fire Department hosts Community Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1700 Safety Way off Kia Parkway.

A motorcycle ride is 1 p.m. at FatDaddy’s, 1310 Hogansville Road, and concert 5 p.m. to raise funds for Kirk Abernathy, who fractured his spine in a car accident in October. Cost is $25 per rider and $5 per passenger for the ride and concert, and $10 for the concert only, which is at the former Kirk’s Country Store, 33 Kirk Road, in Franklin. Bands are Trap County, The Barstool Prophets and 82mm. Raffle tickets for a 50/50 drawing are available for $5 now until drawing. LaGrange police and fire departments host the annual Youth Police/Fire Camp from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mike Daniel Recreation Center on Lafayette Parkway. LaGrange Memorial Library at 115 Alford St. hosts the Summer Reading Program at 2 p.m. The event is free. This week’s program is “Dream Big!” with Tracy Sue Walker, storyteller.
