Vendors sell fresh produce, cheeses, honey, boiled peanuts and other items at Callaway Gardens Farmer’s Market from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Gardens’ Robin Lake Beach in Pine Mountain. Admission is free to the market through the beach entrance.
Guest tango teachers Rick and Lynda Wilson of Atlanta will teach beginners Argentine tango at 7 p.m. with a dance at 8 p.m. at LaFayette Christian School Gym, 1904 Hamilton Road. Local growers sell produce, cheeses, baked goods, plants and other locally made items at Market on Main from 8 to 10 a.m. in the parking lot behind Carmike Theater. Troup County extension agents Celeste Garrett and Randy Drinkard will be at the market to answer questions about food preservation, canning, gardening and summer horticulture.
Local photographer Amy McDow hosts two photography workshops: one to provide beginners and amateurs with tips and instruction using compact cameras more effectively from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and another focusing on advanced techniques like semi-manual and manual settings with point-and-shoot and DSLR cameras from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Each class is $10 and held on a walk-in basis at New Horizon Community Theatre, 411 W. 8th St. in West Point, and profits benefit the theater. www.amymcdow.com
