New Horizon Theatre holds auditions for its production of “Little Mermaid Jr.” the theater, 411 W. 8th St. in West Point, at 7 p.m. No preparation is required and actors only need to attend one audition session. During the audition, actors can expect to do a reading with material provided at the audition, singing in groups or individually and may be asked to perform basic dance steps, which will be taught that evening if required. Roles are available for students in first to 12th grades. Show dates are Oct. 11 to 13. www.nhct.org
