Mary Helen Dozier passed away on Saturday at Hospice LaGrange.

She was born August 1, 1933 to the late James and Lucy Dozier.

She is a 1954 graduate of East Depot High School and a 1955 graduate of APEX School of Beauty and Hair Consultation, Atlanta, GA. Upon graduation, she returned home and worked many years as a housekeeper and beautician.

Mary was a dedicated member of Warren Temple United Methodist Church where she served as President of the Usher Board and Methodist Women. She could always be seen working in the church as an usher, cleaning God’s house or serving in the kitchen. She was also a member of the Dynamic Social Club for many years.

She leaves to cherish beautiful memories, her children: Gwendolyn Dixon, Tony Dozier, Ricky (Pam) Dozier, Sharon Dozier, and Debra (Frank) Black, all of LaGrange, GA; seven grandchildren, two great-grand children, three nieces, one nephew, two special cousins: Larry and Sim Spratling, Jr; and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews, and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Warren Temple United Methodist Church with Dr. W. T. Edmondson officiating. Burial will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Debra Black at 104 Shoal Creek Lane.

The excellent care of Ms. Dozier is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
