Trinity group meets for tailgating party

On Sept. 12, 25 members of Trinity on the Hill UMC met at the church to enjoy a tailgating party, eating hot dogs and good stuff to go with them, and even peach cobbler and ice cream.

Patsy Manning presided and welcomed everyone. She read from “Life is like a football game” for the devotion. Prayers and concerns were given by Dot Messer.

Leila Smith celebrated her birthday.

The group is planning a trip to the North Georgia mountains Oct. 24.

Patricia Rogers from West Georgia Health Center presented a video describing places in LaGrange, Troup County and places surrounding that have much to offer.

The next meeting will be Oct. 10. Holmes Pharmacy representatives will be available to give flu shots.

The lunch menus will be sloppy joes and the trimmings. Club members as for people to come and join them at the church at 11 a.m.
