There’s another Buck in town

I was extremely disgusted at Commissioner Buck Davis’ decision to abstain from voting at the last commissioners’ meeting concerning the cell tower. The excuse that Buck gave for abstaining was very flimsy to say the least. Buck Davis was elected by his constituents to vote on their behalf on any issue coming before him. Ken Smith has been a commissioner for twelve long years, and to my knowledge, he has never once abstained from voting on any issue, no matter how controversial. I believe that Buck Davis abstained simply for political reasons with the upcoming election just months away. He must have been afraid of loosing a couple of votes.

Buck Davis should realize that there is another Buck in town. Buck Herndon is currently running for the seat now occupied by Buck Davis. Buck Herndon would not have abstained from voting on this issue. Voters need to think about this when November rolls around.

I agree Tommy. It is bad when you think a person may be abstaining from voting for political gain.

Your right Tommy Callaway when a Commission member abstains it should be for direct conflict of interest. It should not leave a preception it was done to avoid any political risk.

There ya are folks, crystal clear; Buck Davis is the best choice for commissioner. If Thomas Callaway says to support someone, ya better look the other way. Remember Team "F" Troop? Opps, sorry Team ABCD,'nuff said.
