Mrs. Eva Escott Swann Cottle, age 99, of LaGrange died on November 2, 2012 at the Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Cottle was born in Randolph County, Alabama on April 22, 1913 to the late James W. and Lena Owens Swann. In addition to caring for her family, she worked for over 35 years in the Textile Industry at West Point Pepperell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Taylor Cottle and a daughter, Joanne Cody.
Mrs. Cottle is survived by her sons, Wayne Cottle and his wife Gina of LaGrange, Steve Cottle and his wife Vicki of LaGrange, and Richard Cottle and his wife Donna of Macon; daughters, Joyce Lewis and her husband Jim of Conyers and Lynn Clements and her husband Charles of Woodstock; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 3:00 pm a the Higgins LaGrange Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Parrish, Rev. Randy Nix and Rev. Anthony Hovey officiating. Interment followed at Shadowlawn.
Family received friends on Sunday beginning at 1:00 pm until service time.
