Mr. Charles E. Spratling of Pine Mountain passed away Friday at his home.
Mr. Spratling, a native of Harris County, was born March 13, 1953 and was the son of the late Winston and Lucille Williams Spratling. He was previously employed with Callaway Gardens and was a 1972 graduate of Carver High School. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters: Ava Spratling, Mableton, GA; Zonia (Jarrod) Russell, Douglasville, GA; five grandchildren: Preston, Samuel, Sedrick, Aliyah, Nigel; brother, Winston (Ruby) Spratling Jr., Conley, GA; eight sisters: Marva (Thomas) Scott, Conley, GA; Sandra (Clarence) Jackson, Kansas City, MO; Carolyn (Jamie) Hill, Pine Mountain; Barbara (Virgil) Stinson, Riverdale, GA; Peggy (David) Ross, Kansas City, MO; Cherwanda Lovette, LaGrange; Janie Copeland, Pine Mountain; Janice Spratling, Kansas City, KS; two uncles, six aunts; nieces, cousins and friends; special and dedicated friend, Annette Culpepper.
The funeral service will be Saturday, November 9, 2012 at 11:00AM at the Bethany Baptist Church in Pine Mountain. Rev. William Robinson and Rev. William Spratling will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Jamie Hill at 2290 Davis Lake Road in Pine Mountain and will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 until 7.
